M3 suspension parts & KW camber plates installed
Just did the M3 conversion and tested it out at the track. Front wishbones, tension rods, rear sub frame bushings, front and rear sways, hotchkis rear brace. Added KW camber plates and linear springs for the KW V3. Compression/rebound and ride height have been dialed in nicely. All I can say is wow!
Car is completely different. No body roll and tons of grip. No understeer…near perfect balance. You can throw it in the corner and the car no roll whatsoever and grips like crazy. Car is on rails…no word of a lie! I have driven the M3 and prefer this set up for sure! Night and day difference! Thanks to Harold at HP and Orb for their help and parts. They took the time to explain everything. And, they were right about everything and difference in handling. Orb, you were right about the subframe bushings having to go…mine were shot. They were not designed for all the torque and g-forces of aggressive driving. Special thanks to my mechanic who went above and beyond to make the car perfect. He even fixed some mistakes from my previous mechanic’install for which I am very disappointed about. The attention to detail was the best I’ve ever seen. From proper torque specs of each nut! He truly treats the car likes his own and gives a fair price. You can cheap out now but pay later with botched installs or do it right first. I am very pleased with this set up. Highly recommended! |

Did you also change the rear guide rods as well?

Was curious because this may be the next suspension mod for me.
