Alloy Wheel Rims stick out from tires...

Hi, I have BMW Style 159 wheels on my car. The rims project out slightly from the tires all around...is this normal, or have the wheels not been fitted properly???

Thanks

a picture of what you're talking about would be nice, your perceived level of 'sticking out' might be differnt from others. So let's see a pic

har to tell, are those continental tires on the bmw rim oem tire for bmw or did you buy the rim and tires from another member? If they are oem, they should be ok.

that's normal...the tires are stretched over the wheels to give it that look. my 162's have the same look.

he is saying the tires are not streching out far enough and he was concerned. Anyway, if it is oem, then it should be good. If you want piece of mind, drive out to dealer and look at the other cars with the same tire as your and you will see they are all like that. peace!

I think that means, the next time you replace your worn out tyre, you can and should get wider tyres for better look and fit plus better handling.
But I am not sure whether the RFT size is available... for slightly bigger tyre then your current OEM tyre.
