that is a horrible place to put a boost gauge or actually gauge that changes rapidly, so AFR would also not be good down there.

Ergonomics suck. Gauges need to be angled towards driver and have glare-free faces. Very difficult to read gauges in that location while driving. The ideal mount would open up/close, and have faces directly in the driver's line of sight, so that info can be read with a quick glance.

Great idea. Boost & H2O temp would be especially useful. Oil temp redundant for N54 (135/335/535).

These are actually angled towards the driver - the camera angle is not how the driver would be viewing the gauges while driving.

Using domed-lenses will minimize glare.

Boost, EGT and Oil pressure would be most valuable for tuned cars.

Do they record?, Do they have peak hold? - Both of these options would be crucial given the location of the guages. I would never want to look down while performance driving to check them.

They look really nice though.

it will fit your car too and will just as good in your car.

I dont think 335 owners should put anything related to the turbo's other than oil pressure at that location.

oil temp/pressure
water temp
etc

are all still very important for N/A cars.

Since I already have a boost gauge I voted for

Water temp
Exhaust gas temp
oil pressure

Also IAT would be an awesome choice, is there a gauge to monitor that?

This is an unfinished prototype, the production unit will not have the rings beneath the gauges.

It depends what brand gauges are chosen, SPA or DEFI may have something.

Nice, have been thinking about this too (or for non idrive a custom pod between windshield and center speaker panel - in the line of sight..). However it seems there is no real good match from any gauge supplier for the BMW ones. Either day time needle colour is wrong, or night time backlight is wrong, or lettering is italic..

Oh, we have one. As a matter of fact, they were deeply involved in OEM cluster design on the 3/5 series.

More to follow on that closer to release.
