Alcantara interior upgrades

This is the first phase of the upgrade, I finally got around to yanking out the hat shelf(flat panel below the rear window) and rewrapped it in Alcatara. The pics are kind of crappy, as it doesn't photograph well, but it is true black Alcantara from Gulf Fabrics(the US importer for the material). It took me about 15 minutes to remove the hat shelf, another 45 to lay out the material, bond it to the shelf and then about 5 minutes to reinstall it. I also have 1 sunvisor already wrapped, and ready to install but no pics of it yet. Next, I am going to do the A, B. and C pillars, before I do the headliner itself. Very happy with the look, but as always, open to opinions.

Where do you get your fabric from? I'm looking at doing some Alcantara work in the near future and would interested to find a good source.

Also do you have any pics to post of this? I'm curious to see how it turned out

I purchased the fabric from Gulf Fabrics, i think their website is gulffabrics.com, but I called up and dealt with a guy named Dedo. It was about $80 a yard, 60 inches wide. I have 6 yards, which should be more than plenty to do what I need to do. I must not have loaded pics right so here you go!

That does look good on the black interior. I did this in my mazda pickup years back using the 3m adhesive it worked great on the door panels!

Here are some more pics, I installed the hatshelf and the A pillars again just to see how it looked. All I can say is that the black fabric completes the interior(well, save for some BMW Performance Carbon Fiber trim) as the headliner was the only part on the car that was grey.

Love it - very well done! How did you do the visors? Did you have to do some sewing around the edges?
