Fantastic day at Sytner Harold Wood...My New M3 + Frozen Grey Metallic M3

Hi everyone!

Right...Most of you on this forum (specially UK section) are aware of my situation and what happened with my atlantis blue 335i with the roof leaking issue and the poor service i was recieving from Sytner Harold Wood's servicing department. I had a an aweful experience and things did not look like they will improve - until i wrote a thread on my experience - which to be honest took me by suprise at the amount of intrest people had in my situation and the help and advice that was given....I would like to thank ALL the forum members who helped for their input in to the matter. Special thanks to Tony for taking matters further for me!

Since posting about my problem, Darren Edwards from Sytner BMW who has joined this forum and got in touch with me. He has been a man of his word and taken the matter in to his own hands. A few days later, i had a meeting with Darren Edwards, Paul Fruen (MD of Sytner Harold Wood) and Laurence Bennet (Sales Manager of Sytner Harold Wood). After a good chat, Paul offered me a new car, same spec etc without paying extra on top! This was very kind, and greatly appreciated! Although as this car had caused me so much hasstle, i didnt want the feeling of the same car again...so i decided to take the offer to return the car for the full value and pay extra on top and get the M3 instead.

Since the meeting i must admit, my view has changed as they have really looked after me well - Thanks Laurence The sales department is great - and always has been. As for the service department which i had the issues with - well i was told of many changes that will happen and to be fair, have had no issues since then!

After a few months of waiting my 2010 M3 convertible arrived to the dealership about a week ago...The car is still at the dealership - just waiting on the paper workd and number plate transfer to finish to i can pick the car up!

I decided not to order the same colour as before, so i went for another individual colour. After ordering the car, i get a call saying Bmw in Germany refused to do this colour and is simply not available here....had my hopes so high on the colour so i asked my sales lady - Gemma Collins to try and sort it out...2 days later....as usual Gemma got it sorted for me and was made an exception...FANTASTIC!! Big thanks to Gemma!

From what i have been told by people from BMW, this is the only one here in this colour (i know America and maybe few others have this as option). The colour is........BRILLIANT WHITE METALLIC!! The car is absolutely stunning!!!!

So Laurence had invited me and another forum member to come down today as there was a special car coming in today! Frozen grey metallic! So today morning i headed of to the dealership to check it out....

First impression was that its like a stealth plane it looked awesome! looks mean and aggressive....and well suited for the M3 coupe...and will suit the saloon too - not sure if it will suit the convertible? The black wheels really set the car off, but i wasnt too keen on the chrome kidney grill and side grills. I think they would suit the car more in gloss black to match the rest of the shadowline trim etc.

The car grabbed everyones attention...everyone touched the car to see what it feels like

Laurence kindly offered me to do a quick photoshoot with my new car and the frozen grey m3....unfortunately it was raining, so couldn't take pictures outside so both cars where bought in to the showroom. Here's a few pic's i have edited...

Thanks for looking!

That is a stunning colour Wafik ...well done on getting them to make an exception! It is and will remain a very unique colour - if you don't mind me asking, how much extra does that colour cost?

I'm not normally keen on grey cars either but that Frozen Grey is also pretty special.

AWESOME car Wafik, what a result. I Love that colour - seen an E90 on the US site finished in it and remember thinking how brilliant it looked.

Bet you can't wait to get it and drive it!!

How does the grey paintwork feel? Does it get marked by fingerprints, etc? I love it to look at but can imagine it being a nightmare to live with.

Good that it worked out smoothly for you. Lovely car, but WAYYY too much post-processing on the images, so difficult to see the actual colour. Any normal pics ?

Wafik - your new car looks amazing. I was just thinking today that it's a crying shame there is no metallic white available.

The frozen grey is very very very very very nice as well.

I cant wait!! its been a good few months since i ordered it! The grey paintwork actually feels smooth, its nothing like the vinyl wraps that get done - they are good, but when it rains they stain or leave marks. This one left no marks from what i saw - not even finger prints.

Wow. I'm incredibly jealous. Your M3 looks stunning and having an individual colour just separates it from the rest nicely. I was drooling over a white E93 M3 the other day at a dealer - goreous car.

I love the other one too but would choose yours over it.

Well done in getting the right result, eventually.

I'm not a fan of the current white car fashion - but that individual white looks fantastic.

No flannel Wafik, yours looks much nicer than the coupe and your wheels are way better looking than the coupe as well - in fact I think the M wheels suit the convertible better than the other M3 variants.

Enjoy your car when you finally get it

All's well that ends well. Both lovely looking motors. The Coupe colour would be my choice personally - its amazing!!!

I agree with Dave - way too much hdr'ing (you've made your white car grey in some of them) - normal pics please.

Congrats Wafik! A great result... maybe they can leave it outside in the rain while you're waiting for the DVLA to sort out the reg... at least then you'll know whether the roof leaks or not
