I'm totally new to this!!! Please help if you can!!

Hey guys!

I'm new to this forum, and totally new to modding cars and adding aftermarket products. I would love to hear some suggestions in how i could improve the performance on my car, and if someone has the time to tell me what does what. I've been reading a lot of the posts here, but I don't see a lot of modded 330i coupes, and I've read a couple posts about the Powerbox, but have absolutely no idea what that is. Any type of suggestion would be much apprectiated! I currently drive a E92 330i in Hong Kong, and here's a picture of it:

nice to meet you all and thanks in advance!

The best mod you can do is the PBX as it remaps the throttle to make the car much more responsive and remaps the ECU to give you added power. Its a great mod at a great price.

There is a lot of info in a few threads in this forum and you can check out my site as well for some more info on the PBX. Just click on my signature.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

+1 on Mike's suggestion. The PowerBox will be the best yield for an NA car and is an easy way to improve response and power throughout the band. From there, you can do a drop in filter or intake and an exhaust to go along with the tune.

Will the PowerBox work on N53 (direct injection) engine?

sorry for being such a noob but what engine does the 330i have...its the N53? and thank you all for being such great help! I'll definitely look into the powerbox, it seems like a very good first mod to add to the car, does anyone know how much performance it adds? thanks again!

It adds about 8-10 hp/tq to the wheels and remaps the throttle to make the car more responsive

If your air filter box looks like this than it’s N53.

I'm a noob as well about a week old and I have read a million posts on the Powerbox and for some reason there is a lot of discussion about the 330i. No one has shown any charts on the hp but the responsiveness is there... For that alone I'm going to purchase it. I hate hitting the gas and waiting out that one second lag ... Fathers Day... Here I come!

for a few hundred bucks more you could get an AA flash which would actually give you about 10-15hp and fix the throttle lag. It's a better bet in my books.

Agree. Best bang for the buck for the engine. If you have money left over, spend it on improving the suspension.
