Trade in my 330i for a new/used 335i?

Guys... what do you think? I want the performance gain. I want to beat those IS350's that always seem to give me a lead and blow right past me. I want to feel confident to beat more than just maxima's... i love turbo too.

My 330i has around under 16,000 miles right now. How much you think the dealer will give me.

I think honestly, if I had the 335i sedan, I wouldnt mod any performance, except intake and body kit. I need that 0-60 under six seconds. Autoblog said it clocked at 4.8 the fastest lol.. thats near current m3 speeds!!! For the money i spent on my 330i, i could have gotten a used m3.

So... HOW MUCH MORE DO YOUT HINK WILL BE COMING OUT MY POCKET? FROM ANY DEALER OR THE BMW DEALERSHIP THEMSELVES?

Unforunately this has been gone over many times on the board. You will take a very large hit in the bank if you try to trade in now. I recommend searching just about every post recommends not doing it. You have a great car... unforunately when buying new there will always be something better just around the corner. I would wait a few years and trade her in for the 335i or even better the V8 M3.

Mat

PS. Now if money is no object go for it... but it sounds like you are a little worried about the $$ side. You will probably take at least a 10K+ hit.

Maybe I should just get a quote from the dealer as they estimate how much my car is worth. I want the performance gain... and I want to know, is paying for dual exhaust, turbo/powerkit, air filter.. any other equivalent power gain, worth the same amount as upgrading to the 335i.

*I do plan to get the new v8 m3 when it comes out... (i still kinda dont like the v8 idea, but hey.. they gotta get faster and more powerful to compete, i just hope its a light v8 engine-but thats a whole other post). I had planned to keep a 4dr sedan.

Don't forget about sales tax: You paid it once, and you're paying it again. At least in NY, the 8.375% tax on a $45k car = $3,768.75. OUCH!

14% tax here in Ontario, Canada, 7% federal, 7% provincial, on top of an already high MSRP compared to our US neighbor. But I know us North Americans have it good compared to the rest of the world, where both the tax and the MSRP are higher

That's a lot of sales tax! I will never complain again.
