Car looks great!

Got the same spoiler, haven't installed it yet. Did you use 3M grey tape with red backing? If so, did you have the tape all the way to the edges? I did a test fit and the grey foam of the tape is kind of visible. Maybe if I press down hard, it will flatten out?

Any tips would be appreciated.

Thanks for the comments. Yes, I used 3M Exterior Mounting Tape with the red backing (see second pic in Post #1 at http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=122023). The spoiler from JBSPEED actually has a bit of a grooved underside surface, which helps to hide the tape from being visible. I also found that if you place pieces of tape close enough to the wing tips of the spoiler, that should help keep the tips flat against the trunk lid surface. (Note: Exposure to all the snow and cold the past couple of months has caused the tip edges to become lifted up a bit, so I'll probably try to retape them down again later when the weather gets a bit warmer...)

FYI, you can also purchase OEM double-sided tape from dealers ($$$) that is a little bit thinner than the Exterior Mounting Tape mentioned above. But I've found that although the OEM tape is thinner, it doesn't seem to stick any better than the Exterior Mounting Tape...

Awesome, thanks. That's the type I bought. I stuck it to the edges but then used a razor to trim the tape off so that it fits into that "groove" you're talking about. When you installed it on the trunk, did you use Windex or soapy water so you can align the spoiler or did you just go for it?

I just went "double or nothing" and skipped the soapy water/Windex option... But just to make sure I didn't mess things up, I used pieces of painter's tape as guide markings for the exact placement of the spoiler so that it would sit flush against the edge of the trunk lid. GL with the install!
