You'll be happy with the combination. I have been meaning to take some pictures, but the weather has bee real nasty. If you run them as DRL's they look very xenon like. I have been very impressed. I just think they would be too blue/purple for the fogs. I am running the Mtec Super white as cornering and fogs (same 4300k as the xenonmatch and they look stunning) |

No problem. I feel like a slacker for not posting pics, it would save everyone a lot of trouble. I have switched these stinking bulbs back and forth several times to find what looks right. Trust me this is the hot set-up. When I get time I am going into that headlight harness and finding the lead that powers the DRL circiut, versus normal running circuit. It looks literally twice as bright! If they stayed that way with the lights on, it would be unreal. You'll see when you install them and turn on the DRL's, you would think the angel eyes are powered by real xenons. Looks 100 times better than stock either way, but if they were full power all the time, it would be even better. I wish someone had a wiring diagram for the headlights and angel eyes and could help. I think it would be an easy mod to switch lead to full power (DRL mode) all the time. |

are you sure the xenon match are the most white. i really disagree from the pics on this thread. nin1616's indoors pics definitely have blue in them. i want some pretty bright angels with a slight bluish tint- would i be looking for the xenon match or gp thunder?

I don't think there is a separate wire for DRL vs Regular Angel. If you take a close look at the connection to the H8. It looks like it has 2 brown wires attach to one side.. and 1 yellow wire attach to other side.
The 2 brown wires ....actually is one single wire..... 1 comes from the external back connection.. and the 2nd brown wires.. actually is a tap to the H3's ground. Which means the brown wire is ground wire... not hot wire... only one hot wire to angel...

The Mtec are very bright. They are 4350k as opposed to 8500k from the Gp Thunder. The lower the K the brighter the light output... And so if you want the brightest with a hint of blue then i would think the Mtec Cosmos Blue or Super Whites would be good for you. But that's just a suggestion... |

Car will be in Halifax on Friday...
So it all depends on how long it sits there or if it goes on the train right away. From Halifax to Montreal it takes about 3 days on the train and then 48 hours for me to get the car. So i would say 2 weeks i should have the car. I'm looking for the same look as you. So hopefully that's what i'll get with the Mtec's. If not though not such a big deal the bulbs only cost like 30$ shipped... As soon as i get the car i'm swaping the bulbs and i'll post pics |

I'll say it again. The angels don't run at full intensity with xenons on, therefore the GP Thunders look great. |

The 4000 to 5000k bulbs still aren't white enough when burning at lower intensity. I'll say it again. The angels don't run at full intensity with xenons on, therefore the GP Thunders look great. NOT TOO BLUE OR PURPLE in the angel eye application. Last edited by JIMD1709; 01-23-2007 at 02:42 PM.. |

I understand, I am talking about the connector on the back of the entire headlight housing. There's gotta be seperate leads coming in right? |

Hey Jdm, I just ordered The Gp Thunder's from ebay. I have the Mtec Cosmos Blue h8 and Mtec Super White h3. But my car will only be here in like 2 weeks... I know you have done alot of experimenting and opted for the Gp Thunder's as Angels but my question is have you tried the Mtec Cosmos Blue as Angels? And if so how do you compare the Mtec Cosmos Blue to the Gp Thunders as Angels. Thankx |
