The stock ones definitely photograph better, well, imo anyway.
They actually look good during the day too, but at night the gp's look pretty killer. |

Just curious of people's opinion...keep stock to have the more aggressive look during the day, or sacrifice that for night time driving with aftermarkets?

i think you have it backwards. it doesnt look more agressive to me with the yellow during the day. everyone has yellow headlights. you really dont sacrifice that at night becuase you "shouldn't" be using corona's as your only source for light. at night, yellows or aftermarket are not adequate. the question is, do you want to see white/blue-purple tint during the day or yellow. i changed mines to the Hoen xenon match for 1 reason. when i set the headlights to adapative setting and open the door with the remote key, the coronas will shine blue rather than yellow, so when i walk up to the car, it beams out white/blue. just a minor thing. its all preference

And as far as day time driving...I think visible rings are more aggressive looking than either a) no rings at all or b) bulbs so bright they're not viewable... But I take your points...and the fact that it's all personal preference is why I asked the question.

The only real downside to the aftermarket solutions is they are just not as bright, so during the day they can be hard to see (on really bright days). Otherwise they look better (imo) most of the time. The nice thing is it literally takes about 10 minutes to swap them, so you can do it whenever.

I don't use the DRL feature (think they are a waste), and don't use my headlights during the day. So it doesn't matter to me, since they look so awesome at night!! Just my .02 |

Nah, running gp thunders for the angels, mtech for the corner's and fogs. The gp's give a bluish tint if viewed from an angle relative to when viewed directly. Ill put up some more pics tomorrow.

I changed the Halos to GP thunders and moved my Hoen bulbs to the fogs.
Here are a couple pics of the angels. The GP thunders do have alittle more of a bluish tint to them.

I ordered the MTEC Super Whites & also these GP Thunders, but they're 7500k - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=150103990351
I'm not too big on the purplish color of the 8500k when you don't have the HID's to match them, so I figured the 7500k might be a little closer to what the stock HID's are. Anyone tried the 7500k yet?

ive been trying to find a way to do this since i picked up my car. Nobody makes a red bulb, and I dont believe there any way to modify the bulb (paint, any type of cover, etc) for it to work.
