Interesting thread. I'm tossing up the Pro-kit with FSD myself.
I am temped to get the great deal on the b12 package at the moment but a lot of people are saying the b8's are too stiff for daily driving...vs the slightly unpredictable FSD shock - especially in cold weather? cheers |

Love my Yellows - you won't go wrong there. Once upon a time, my '81 BMW bike had leaking Koni shocks. They were many years old, and a salesman I spoke with had deep reservations about Koni replacing under lifetime warranty. I held firm - a request was made. New shocks appeared a week later, under warranty, zero cost. Yeppur. Buy Koni. |

I had koni yellows + H&R Sport springs installed recently and they feel 90% like stock sport suspension. Only time it feels stiffer is when you hit a pot hole.
I did not know it was possible to have such a comfortable ride at this ride height. |

I've had my Koni FSD shocks and Eibach Pro-kit springs for 4 years and love every mile I've driven on the setup. It's a huge improvement over the stock Sport Suspension on my 08 335i e90. Not too stiff and not too soft; just right for everyday driving.

Tire Rack has some tests of the various Eibach suspension stages (springs only, springs with matching dampers, springs with dampers and sway bars). Take a look at that under Suspensions on their web site. It's a relatively old test done on a 3 series, and worth reading.

Im also looking at these options with the eibach pro kit. I want better handling and an acceptable dd on a 330i.
Fsd is off my list due to reports of unpredictability, esp with 4 on board. Bilstein B12 is on sale but theres reports - even in this thread - of a very firm ride. Eibach pro system looks nice but i cant find anyone to ship to austala for a reasonable cost. Bilstein touring B4s looks really good, but only two members here have tried it. Looks VERY similar to pro- system shocks and is economical. Did i miss any? Not doing coilovers obviously. |
