Pavilion's cool. The only thing that sucks is technically the reserved spots for the meet are for the car clubs. Can't just be a "walk-on". So what ends up happening is I park as a guest and walk around to talk to people. Which i guess is fine. It'd be nice if we had our own little convoy lol

Hey guys,
I've had a few people ask about a local BMW owners meet and greet. I was thinking of sponsoring one in October after things cool down a bit. Maybe meeting up, going for a drive and then return for a BBQ so we can all sit around, eat, and talk about and check out each others cars. Let me know if you guys are interested and I'll start planning. Steve

I ordered your kit a week or so ago Steve and everything worked out great. I think the lpf sensor is faulty so I ordered a new one. I don't think I am fully there yet but do need to do some logs and get them checked by an expert eye. |

I'm not claiming to be an expert eye but feel free to send me logs to bmw.fuelkits@gmail.com As for the meet and greet, I'll start planning it and I'm always open to suggestions. I live on the 202 East and was thinking of having everybody meet up somewhere around the 101 and the north 202, drive up to Canyon Lake, and then return to my house for a BBQ and to hang out. Thoughts?

Saw one of you.
I just bumped into a FBO blue e9x w/ JB4 on Elliott going East. Was it you? I let you pass me to get on the 101 N.

View post on imgur.com -- this is from someone changing lanes into me Here's a better album of the door dents. I'll put up after pics too. I am going to email a PDR pro some pictures and get his opinion. I imagine replacing a door can become a pain in the ass and want to avoid it at all costs.

For straight body work non collision repair, I've heard nothing but good things about http://www.eafinishes.com/. They might be a little more expensive but they put out quality.

Quick update on this. I did email my door dent album to 3 different PDR places from in or around my area and only one place replied. Kind of a bummer. $500 and he thinks he can get it to almost like new 90-95% were his words. Needs it all day at his shop though he said. Not a mobile job. Scheduling it for Friday. I can post after pics if people are curious.
I know $500 sounds like a lot but I'll pretty much pay anything to not have to find and replace the whole door shell which would probably be a little bit more considering time invested to replace all the trim and panels, electronics and audio speakers. I feel like it's riskier this way too and could be inviting some gremlins into the car. Quote:

Actually $500 doesn't sound like a lot at all. Looking at it, it unfortunately falls right on the crease. I scratched up my rear quarter panel and rocker panel back in December when I was pulling into my garage on snow (damn Ohio) and while it didn't seem like much it ended up costing $1500. That involved filler, sanding, respray, etc. It came out as close to perfect as you can get but it was a lot more than I thought it would be. Is insurance picking up any of this? |

Dude who changed lanes into me didn't stop. So I don't have any info on them. My claims deductible is $1k so it's not really worth it to me. Rather just get it pulled for $500. I figure that will at least make it to where its not as noticeable and it wont be an eye sore.
Yea man body work gets expensive, once you factor in panel replacments, paint jobs and labor it totally adds up. Quote:
