As for the pre-meet, chop! chop! Who is in charge? SBC...

DTC on/DSC restricted is sufficient for public roads.

I've watched three high speed spins on 'spirited' cruises with people driving beyond their abilities and caught up in the moment, following the car in front. Two of these did not have stability control fitted. Also, lots of tailgating and illegal, stupid overtaking manoevres too many close calls to a point where I stopped arranging such events. I'm not suggesting any of you gents would drive thus, but I think it is important that anyone felt to be driving in a dangerous manner be prepared to be told so without prejudice .

Oh, and I'm 95% certain I'll be there; in teh Alpineweiss 325i. Where are we going?

Yeah mate, I didn't want to miss out.

This is my second BMW. The first was an E46 318i (I seem to be stuck with the entry level).
To be honest the 320i is not that bad. At least it saves the couple of points I've got left on my license. If I bought a 335i I think sooner or later I'll be leaving it in the garage without being able to drive it.

Should we invite the M3 guys along as well?

Could fatten the attendance list by a few cars...

Sure, just let them know it's tradition to swap cars for the cruise

I thought about this, and E46Fanatics too, but M3Post isnt that active. Also, do you think they will think they are top stuff as they have M cars? I just decided not to, because I haven't really posted on M3Post (whereas I have on e90 and 1addicts) so I won't really be putting any names to faces etc...

Does anyone really feel compelled to invite the M3Post guys too? I can post up a notice there then just to see if someone rocks up.

SBC, I would say go invite them, there sure some good people out there with M3"s too I reckon though haven't posted there before...just that we might need to catch up with them on the drive or they would have to stay behind the pack to keep their torque in check....johnnydad, yupz, thats a great tradition to start with

Lol

Actually, I guess the whole point of the cruise is to put names to faces and cause we aren't really posting on their site, they aren't really posting on ours - we're in different 'communities'

Couldn't hurt though and I'm sure they will come along as the whole day would make them feel good about themselves, their egos and cars lol.

E46fanatics would be stretching the connection a bit much! I like the idea of 1ers and E9x's

Just posted the drive day notice over on M3Post, can't hurt I guess. Their forum is a bit inactive though so lets see if anyone actually responds.
