Body shop recommendations in the Los Angeles/Westside area? (PICS of damage)
As the title of the thread would suggest.....I'm in need of body shop recommendations in the Los Angeles/Westside area.
It appears that overnight someone hit my car, and of course didn't leave a note. I was parked on the street in front of my apartment and I was right next to another building's driveway. I suspect that someone in the middle of the night was making a three point turn into the driveway right in front of my car and pulled into the driveway to fast and too wide and nailed the front passenger side of my car pretty good. From what I can see it looks like I'll need a new front bumper, new passenger side headlight, new grille, and a new hood. Being that I will be going through insurance I'm hoping someone can recommend a top notch body shop in my area where I can have the repairs done. Your suggestions are appreciated. I will get some pics up later today of the damage.

Added a couple of pictures of the damage. Any guesses as to the total cost of repairs?

Guess about $3k
Go to whichever shop your insurance Co recomends. That way if you have problems, they can leverage their power to fix them for you. You will also lokely get a lifetime warranty from them as well.

Sorry to see that.
I think it's best to always avoid parking on either side of an entrance to any sort of building. |

I am north of you so I can't recomment a body shop BUT I can tell you a
ballpark figure for your damage based on stealer prices: Taking old bumper out and putting new painted bumper on is around $1,000. Headlight assembly runs around $900 plus the cost of taking out the old one, installing the new one, aligning it etc - probably another $100. So another $1,000. And last but not least the new hood painted is going to be another $1,000. So all in all you're looking around $3,000 possibly more since you need one of the grills too. Best of luck and I'm so sorry about the damage to your car - this just sucks |

Try Manuel's body shop near Venice & Robertson. They are VERY cheap and do a good job. They also have a very high rating with the Better Business Bureau.

I know couple good ones for BMW in the Valley:
1. Sherman Oaks http://www.prideautobody.com/ (that should be int the samelocation as Central BMW) 2. Precision Autobody in Reseda, CA http://www.precisionautobody.org/ Both of them used by dealers in LA |

I would HIGHLY recommend M1 Autobody in El Monte, CA.
I had them do some stuff to my previous car (03 g35 sedan) -- full car kandy tangerine orange paint, mold rear bumper in 2 pieces, etc. They did a great job and they have lifetime warranty. If you do call them tell you Reza with the orange G35 sent you. |

I suggest Holmes Body Shop in Riverside. They work directly with BMW of RIverside. They fixed my 06 325i and it came out perfect. It might be a far drive for you but it is well worth it.
