Definately not a cop, haha. Good suggestions I guess, but I really don't want to do it on public roads, I bounced off the speed limiter in my 328 on route 80 in PA. There are stretches in pa on 80 where it is completely closed in, repaved, and they don't export points to nj. But pa cops can't use radar, (expect for the staties) so its pretty risky when you can't look for radar. In my opinion its way too dangerous to go those speeds on public roads, and not worth the risk of serious legal issues if they do catch you which is why I was looking for a controlled environment... too bad those salt flats are so damn far away...

Top speed is a funny thing in a BMW though bc personally my speedo is off about 7% but gps tagged me in at a top end of 176.

I've been on many meets/ runs that drive through there and i hit the limiter on my car every time with no problems
just make sure you get to speed before the bumps, and watch out for cops
