The wrx now comes with the FA20DIT engine. 268 HP at 5600 rpm and 258 lb-ft at 2000 rpm. its chain driven now and is also direct injection. Pretty sweet engine. The wrx is now a 6 speed instead of a 5 speed.

Walnut blasting booked, now it's just a matter of deciding on a tune! Hoping to have my mind made up and the tune bought in time for this Saturday so I can install it after I get home with clean intake valves.

Cobb looks good because it seems to be very suited to a "set it and forget it," but from what I've read it looks like I'd be getting 350hp (crank) at most, which isn't enough for me. JB4 looks tempting if the claims of 400hp (crank) are true on a stock car, but as I mentioned in my last post on the previous page, I'm not sure it's suitable for someone who just wants to install it and not have to worry about tweaking.

The JB will be fine for your needs. At a later date I would really suggest the BMW backend flash to go with it. Not from experience just what I have read. It's a 175 cable and the flash is free. But for the most hp for one mod the JB is the way to go imo. But at the end of the day just get a tune!

The cobb ots maps are seriously weak.

Jb4 map 5 is an auto tuning map. Pretty much set it and forget it. I leave mine on map 5 and am constantly changing from 93 to an e85 mix.

The auto with 20'' wheels was the second fastest VQ that night if I remember correctly(I may not be the 350 may have been 1st and me 3rd?). Either way I beat Aaron consistently.

What does your flash tune hit for max boost? I wonder what the E90 would run stock with just the protune...

If you want we can load up stock tunes and race or I can bring the E90. At least you will get a baseline stock of how it performs.

If you go to the motorsports place in Arlington I got one there for 130 I think. To use them at the track or drag strip they have to be snell 2010 or better. Just don't buy a DOT certified one as that will do you no good at the track

Haha how did I miss this. I'm down anytime although I have never been to the drag strip only a real track.

My tires are to be desired but the car is running very strong considering slight smoke haha. Let's do this or find some autox events.

Just pulled the trigger and ordered a new JB4. Was going to go used, but Terry informed me they provide no support or warranty for used products, which sucks. I'm going to want them to look over my logs once I have it installed and let me know if everything looks right, and apparently I need to buy new for that.
