Hi Christopher,
Our LUX units do have a thermal protection built into the unit so that might be the issue. We have been in a heat wave the last few days so that is mostly likely the cause. The light will shut off shortly to cool down and prevent damage to the lights.

I was reading thru the post and seems like a lot of light bulbs are going out? Is this normal? I was thinking of getting a set but I do not want to have a problem with my bulbs going out. Has this issue been fixed

I've had mine in for at least a year with no problems, and it was in the upper 90's for a couple weeks here + I was down south at beach for 2 weeks where it was between 100 and 115 - so that heat didn't bother them...

Which ones are compatible with the E90 '07 Sedan? The v5.1 or the H8 v3?/

If you have xenon headlights - LUX H8 V3.
if you have Halogen headlights - LUX E90 LCI Halogen
