Famoso Last Night--Horrible Conditions but Managed To Get In the 11s
So, the private event that was supposed to take place in early February but it got postponed 4 times because of rain. Then, the day it doesn't rain, it's the hottest day of the year.
When we first started the runs, the DA was 2400. It was hot, humid, and the pressure was even lower than normal To put it plainly, it just sucked! I really wanted to break my 11.80 time but there was just no way with these conditions. I managed to get a good run though and got an 11.90 at 117.5 MPH The funny thing is that this is my best trap at Famoso so I can only imagine how much better it could have been. Oh well, it was still fun. There were other 335s there as well and Terry was there with his N55 135. He managed to get into the 12s! that's not too shabby for just the tune.

I'm running Hoosiers and I was running everything.
My mods are listed somehwere around here, I'm just sick of posting them because the list is too long lol. There's no way anyone could get a 1.68 60' running street tires.

It was a Supercharged Chrysler 300. That thing was fricken fast man! I thought I was going to win the drag race and then he flew past me right before the 1/4.

Craig, did you happen to see what the Blue E90 M3 ended up getting on his best run? He showed me his time slip of 14.x at 106.x mph...just to show you how tough things were out there. Also, was that heads/cam Corvette a regular LS3, not a Z06? There was that fancy looking newer Mustang with all the racing stickers, I think he ran 12's.

You're right though, I saw him go down the track and then I saw the time of 14.4. ouch! I don't know about the mustang, but the guy with the LS3 corvette next to us kicked ass!! I think his best time was 11.5 and he had a manual trans! Those headers and cams must work wonders.
