They are are facing the right way. I did try it both ways though & it's loose regardless.

seems like maybe your retaining clip is bent or something then, or your throttle body groove is deformed, which is highly unlikely, see if someone local has another retaining clip that you can test.
did you install the retaining bolt thats down by the alternator? |

T bolt will not solve this, it mite even end up damaging the stock plastic pipe.
Try to wiggle it in tight, make sure no shiny silver fort he groove is showing and the throttle body side is nice n snug, try using all your effort and pushing it in their, and then clipping it in, i sometimes get that problem too, and it just requires some lil extra push for the top end and it fits rite in |
