How do you mount your Cobb Accessport?
I have an '08 335xi. I get my new Cobb Accessport tomorrow. I want to use it for extra gauges, etc. How have you guys mounted your Accessport on your cars? I don't want to ghetto rig it.
Thanks! |

Well you will have that annoying cord running up from the OBD2 port / side of your leg / up to the dash... I'm not sure how you could avoid all of that.
I just keep it in my lap when cruising with it! |

Here I was hoping someone had found a good mout system for off the dashboard. I already have my cell in my laptop because the BMW doesnt support bluetooth audio. I dont want the Accessport in my lap too! Maybe someone found a suction cup style cellphone mount that worked that I could hang to the left of the steering wheel or something?

I can tell you one thing, if you built a custom COBB mount, you could sell it * under the table, provided COBB doesn't find out * and make a killing haha..
I have not seen anything yet for this though. |

I'm using this vent style holder from Autozone only $9.99 It works great! I did trim the left arm a little bit for perfect fitment of the AP. Hope this helps.

I have mine in a universal mount on the passengers side vent in the center. I just put the cable under my floor mat, and tucked it into the little crevice in front of the gear shift where the center console meets the other panel.

Order the brackettron, i found it online for 10.61 shipped. Search around, I found out about it after seeing another member's setup. Its actually pretty cool and you can wrap the extra slack form the OBD cable around the back of it to clean it up a bit.

I bought a smartphone holder (vent mount). I then run the cable under the floor mat to the AP. I like to place it right of the steering wheel. There is no running away from the cable, but my setup doesn't bother me. I've seen others mount it to the left. It's mostly preference.

Nice COBB, didn't know where to get one... i got my proto in today, pretty sweet! It has sticky mount, fastener mount and Clip mount (i used) The weight of course holds the vent down, but you can tweak the angle to your liking. Just did a run, and it worked perfectly. http://www.rallysportdirect.com/Prot...ooglePPC-PROTO sorry, on a Subaru website.
