My thought is when in doubt, skew toward overdressed. You can always take the tie off.

Drive through a surprise slush storm on 355 still on RFTs, never want to do that again. Basically hydroplaned the whole way.

Looks like I'll be mounting some snow tires on soon!

If anyone can help...I'm looking to get blizzaks in 225/40/18 or 225/45/18 on my stock OEM 162s on the 3er. Car is dropped about an inch all around, will I rub with the 225/45/18 setup, considering the overall height of the tire is a bit taller? Gary@tirerack says they will likely rub, but iirc I thnk some of you have used a bigger tire?!?!

Sedan or coupe. Pretty sure you'll be ok with either but sedans have more room. You dropped?

mark, it looks like that site is for e46s. this is for my 3er. And yes its lowered an inch around. Want the bigger tires to give it some extra ground clearance and also protect the wheels a bit

Still think you'll be ok. If u can wait a couple weeks I'm going to be putting my 225/40/18s on my lowered car and I'd be able to confirm.
