Trade buyers are acquiring fewer cars at auction and are being very choosey about what they want on their forecourts - it's not uncommon for four- or five-year-old executive cars like 3 and 5 Series BMWs with 100,000 miles on the clock to get no bids. Lower-spec cars especially have been suffering because of course the traders know they have a better chance of moving higher mileage cars if they're better-equipped.'

Whereas the high milers are ten to the dozen?

Looks like mine was as desirable as a bloody trabant. Taken it off sale for a bit, might give it to the wife later this year. Wont be long before we see early 335i's at £10k - probably mine next year.

Autotrader. Normally does the job. At the end of the day it wasn't cheap enough, or the right buyer didnt see it. You keeping yours?

One minute I am keeping it as no need to give it away if thats the only way I can sell it.

however, I can advertise in AutoTrader for free as mate now works there, so may be worth a punt...

Was your asking price a bit hopeful?
