:rocks: MY CAR IS IN!! Although, my CA informed me that they won't have the car ready till monday, but it's good to know it's there. Hopefully he'll have the tint done on monday as well. I will post pics as soon as humanly possible.:rocks: :rocks:

What's all involved in the dealership check anyway? Why can't I have my car today? He said it has to go thru service and hooked up to computer, etc...

Have to take the car out of transport mode, adjust tire pressures, take off shipping blocks, check for shipping damage, make sure everything works, remove plastics, wash car, clean interior, install floor mats, top off washer fluid.

I just found out mine will be in this afternoon and ready for a Monday pick-up too.

It's the "wash car" part of the prep that you absolutely don't want if your car is black.

Awesome TX! Can't wait to get it on monday and then have the holiday weekend coming up to have an extra day to break it in. I'm only gonna break it in to about 500 miles and then it's go time.

It will be great to have it before the holiday weekend. I am seeing if the dealer can get some mods done before I pick her up on monday.

Are you having them do the new vehicle prep? I am a little nervous letting the dealer do it.

If the car is dark, and definitely it if is black, do it yourself. Read the sticky by Picus. Avoid the dealer installed swirl option. Apparently some dealers have their process down so this doesn't happen, but there is NO WAY I am taking a chance with a 50K black car....

I've read over that thread and contemplated doing it myself. I am still deciding which way to go. I am hoping that they haven't done it already. Unfortunately I will not have any time to do it myself until a week after delivery, and I don't want to have to drive around in a dirty car for a week.

I am going to go back and re-read that DIY and decide today.

This, and the front plate have been decisions I have contemplated. I change my mind every day.

If the dealership doesn't know how to prep the car, then how can I trust them to do any service on it. I'm going to let them prep it. Also, I saw the car today on the lot, and it was dusty. Hope they do a good job. And another thing, the sticker didn't show the 6fl option. If it's not in there, I will be pissed.

I am probably going to let them do it also. I will not have the time to do it myself for a week. Cars will get dings and chips from everyday driving, and I can't worry about little things like swirls. Obviously if there is a major problem with the surface, like noticable swirls or other issues, I will bring it up to the dealer at delivery.

With less than 24 hrs til delivery, the anticipation is killing me. I doubt I will get anything done at work tomorrow.

remember the same guy who is preps an M6 is going to do the next car in line whether it is an M5, your 335 or a CPO 04 Z3.


remember dealers have to prep Bugatti's too.

I agree. I am probably worrying too much. These websites do that to you. Sometimes too much info is not a good thing.
