Annodized Intercooler

Has anyone annodized their upgraded intercooler? I'm considering a DIY intercooler upgrade with the ebay rx7 core, and might have it annodized black so it doesn't stand out so much. Any thoughts?

The RX7 core will most likely be too large.

Make sure you get a proper anondizing or you will lose cooling efficiency

I actually wanted to show it off more so I blacked out my grills..

i think there is special intercooler/radiator paint you can use.

from what i have read, since you are only spraying the surface of the fins and the surface of the horizontal bars, even if you use regular paint, it isn't going to degrade performance in the real world.

Too large? I'm pretty sure I've seen plenty of people use it. Correct me if I'm wrong though.

Must be a smaller version for the RX7 then. The last RX7 intercooler I saw would never fit on the dront of my car

There is quite a bit of trimming required, but it fits, and performs wells.

I have an anodized black intercooler from ER. Works well to prevent stone chips and is very stealthy....my CP is anodized as well

+1. If you can, I'll say purchase one that's already anodized black.
