well the 800# tells me I am in transit so I am thinking I made it aboard the Otello but the W&W tracking site still shows nothing for my VIN so not sure.

But assuming I am on the Otello my car is currently enjoying a brief stop over in Sweden before heading to Zeebrugge Belgium for a day visit on the 2nd then on to South Hampton on the 3rd before heading out to sea for a 7 day crossing to Halifax on the 10th for a day then onto NY on the 12 where (hopefully) she'll be unloaded and processed in short order and sent on to my dealer. I've decided to think of this as my cars little vacation cruise before she has to get back to work rather than some form of torture by making me wait.

on the way to the port per 800#'s automated message today. i would be extremely delighted if i can get on the courage (departs 7/3) or the toronto (7/5). sounds reasonable enough....

My car completed production on 6/22 and has been sitting at the port of exit since 6/27. If I recall there's another ship scheduled to sail for Cali on the 7/3 with an estimated arrival of 7/28. Anyone from the West Coast make it on the ship that sailed on 6/27?

i think so but havent confirmed yet. all i know is the 800 number changed from at port to in transit a few days ago so im guessing it did.

do you know what ship that is and how to track it?

I'm new here ... but just wanted to gloat!

6/16/07 -- Placed order for 2007 328xi E90 at dealership
6/18/07 -- Production # assigned
6/20/07 -- Car goes into production (and VIN assigned)
6/24/07 -- Production complete
6/25/07 -- Car leaves Munich for Bremerhaven
6/26/07 -- Car arrives at Bremerhaven
6/28/07 -- Departs Bremerhaven aboard the Otello and sets sail for NJ
7/12/07 -- Estimated arrival in NJ

I was told to expect about 10 weeks from order to delivery. It looks like it will be about 6.

So excited!

I'm definitely counting my lucky stars! When I called BMW NA the other day to track the vehicle, the rep said she never saw a car ordered, produced and shipped so quickly.

I'm so happy for you guys who made it on the Othello so quickly! I finished production on June 23rd, made it to port on June 26th and the 800# still has me awaiting a shipping vessel today....I'm starting to get sick of hearing the same recorded message over and over again (maybe I should stop calling???)

cedarstreet, have you tried running your VIN through W&W cargo tracking site http://schedule.2wglobal.com/AppTrac...trackType=Auto? some people's cars show up in the system when they are booked mine didn't until 5 days after the ship left port . But you may get lucky and be able to find out what ship you're booked on.

Likewise I was done on june 23 and i heard the same message. I think you should call your CA. They should be able to tell you if you made the ship yet. I was told last thursday that I would have my car in three weeks. So don't go by the 800#

made it to the port on june 30th even though the automated message says i'm still on the way to the port! getting on the courage doesn't seem that much of a long shot anymore.....if not that then i'd be just as happy getting on the toronto vessel!

FYI: Anyone who's car was finished with production on June 20 like mine:

Mine reached Bremerhaven on June 25 and left the port on the Otello on Thursday, June 28. However, the Wallenius cargo tracking didn't recognize my VIN# until this morning (Monday, July 2.)

The delay in shipping info had lead me to believe that my car was on the Atlantic Concert that left on Saturday, June 30.

That was welcome news because it'll save five days transit time.

NY/NJ arrival date for:

Otello- July 12
Atlantic Concert- July 17
