After installing aftermarket rotors an pads will the oem systems be able to detect the pad lining an give out accurate readings or do you need different sensors as well?

Depending on the condition of the sensors, you will most likely have to replace them. At least that has been my experience.

Yes, aftermarket rotors and pads such as Cool Carbons that have the cutout for the sensors will be able to detect the pad wear just like OEM.
