Handbags - where to sell them??

Prob asking for trouble here...

BUT!

Wife has a load of designer handbags .. previous seasons etc .. and they need shifting as there is £££'s tied up in them just shoved in a cupboard!

So she wants to sell them - dont wanna do the ebay route as too much grief and hassle, so was wondering where else she could sell them.

All original stuff in their 'covers' but all are used.

Roughly 5 to sell... and she paid over £1k for each of them ... a crack habit would have been cheaper.

Dude I think you need to take her to south of France or Hong Kong for a holiday five times so she can get to show them off.

Are you sure you can't just even things up buy buying some manbags for yourself?

I bought myself a Mulberry manbag some time back which was several hundred quid. I'm sure if you upscaled it to an overnight bag you could come up with some man luggage costing £1,000. Combine this with a trip to HK for some camera equipment and you could be even!

As long as she doesn't buy another bag over there, then it could backfire.

I reckon eBay is the best bet. My missus has sold loads of stuff on there and made pretty decent money. People on there know decent stuff so, take nice photos, good description and they'll easily sell and usually for more than you're expect them too. Obviously you could get a little stung on one or two but the others will fly.

Always amazes me what people will pay on eBay for decent stuff.

Think about it though, there's loads of honest people like us how have decent gear and look after it, eventually we need more space, people on eBay tend to know what they're after and pay fair money for it.

You could always stick a reserve on it to test the water.

We sold a load of Vivian Westwood clothes via ebay a few years back. I seem to remember quite a few pieces went to Hong Kong. It was hassle free and we got good prices for it or at least I figured it was good since my wife had got the stuff for nothing anyway.

Ebay is a changed place nowadays though so I understand you wanting to avoid them.
