The Cobb AccessPORT is a great tune and I've been extremely happy with the results on my 335i as well. I'm actually excited for all you guys in EU as there the tune is finally supported!!

I'm looking forward to getting it too - I had a mazdaspeed 3 before the 335I and was always jealous that the US guys had an accessport but it wasn't supported for the UK. Cobb seem to be pretty good with map availability so I can put it on before I get my dp's and intercooler fitted, and simply swap to the more aggressive maps then.
Only thing thats a bit of a downer is the lack of integrated meth control as I was thinking about it. |

Just read through the above and got a bit more excited about this! Am awaiting a response from Alan at modbargins. Wil update when we have defiantly found the best price! Re Meth, that is coming soon with the stage 3 maps, or so it is speculated on the US boards. |

£470 approx
To be honest I've paid more for a remap without the option of changing maps or updates so it's looking pretty good however, if we get a couple more in then the price could drop further. |

At £470, I still think it is a "bit" much....Other "popular" (JB4, evolve etc) remapping options are around the £300/£350 mark.....
Come on Cobb, bring the price down...... |

The cobb unit is a little different. We all know evolves maps are excellent, so I'll just give cobb's features. Cobb give the user a range of maps for different stages and setups for no extra, and any updates are free (and Cobb do keep refining), Cobb's box will read and delete codes, datalog and do live sensor readouts, and eventually they release accesstuner so your car's map can be worked on locally. You can also resell it for max value as the buyer doesn't need to pay for new maps.

Ie an evolve-r is min 600 quid with map. Trust me, if you want a flash based tuning option which you can grow with the addition of other mods to the car, Cobb is the way to go. Flash and forget - or more personalised flash tuning on dyno, evolve all the way! |

Evolve don't do 'dyno tuning' per se, at least not for stage one - they read your standard map, dyno the car, apply their modified map then dyno it again. It may be different for stage two of course...

But I shall watch this Cobb development with interest. Certainly, if you have the N54 motor, you're spoiled for choice - Evolve, JB4 and now Cobb to name but three. Happy New Year guys! Mike. |

For the first time in two weeks I'm going to be sober enough to drive again (damn you Christmas!) so I want to hurry and order this . Any further updates?
Thanks |
