Any downfall to used jb4

As it says.

will it learn the new car right away or is this a problem with buying used?

You don't get email support, and many older ones have older board types that are not as good as the latest stuff. If you've done this before used is OK but if new the email support alone is worth the cost of admission.

youll be fine buying used. Just know which board you are getting so you dont accidentally update it with the wrong firmware or maps when you get to that point.

Wait....buying a used JB4 does not get email support (help with tuning)??

IMO that whole operation is amazing, I have no issues paying them full asking price.

The support, updates and the product itself you get alot for your money.

I don't know where Mike is getting that info from... I could not imagine Terry refusing to respond to a customer email since they bought their tune used. In fact, I bought my tune used and Terry responds to my emails all the time and extremely promptly. BMS has some of the best customer service out there and I doubt that they would do something like that.

+1 for BMS awesome support and customer service. For a rare moment in life i have actually found all 3 Price/Quality/Service and not have to settle for only picking 2. BMS FTW!!!!!

Lol so he has some master list with all our emails? Hahha

Anyway- you get email support, you just dont get "warranty" support if you have a hardware issue.
They wont accept a repair without a purchase receipt.
Which is normal for most companies.

I bought mine used and terry was still nice enough to reply to my emails when I had questions. If nothing else you can go n54tech and get your questions answered there.
