Is this a good deal?
2006 BMW 325i Sedan, Black on Black, Sports, Premium, and Cold Weather packages.
115,000 Miles, well maintained at a local BMW dealership. Has a small dent in the front bumper, and other than that its in VERY good condition. The owner has three other BMW's and is an enthusiast. His final price after negotiating is $10,000. Is this a good deal? Should I go for it? |

id probably go for it. or wait another week or two and see if he will go down to 9,500, use the bumper as an excuse. just remember waterpump was a problem in the e90s i believe. and im sure other stuff will need to be change soon. but heres KBB

This is his ad (he said that $10k is his final price):
I am selling a Mint, beautiful, impeccably maintained 2006 325i. This car is in great shape. It has been maintained at New Country BMW till warranty ran out and has been maintained at Munich Motorsports since then. The car has 4 brand new tires, new brakes, all maintenance completed. The most recent maintenance that was completed was a new starter and a new OEM BMW Battery. The car is detailed and ready to go. I average 26-32 Mpg. You will not find a nicer more beautifully maintained interior on any car for this year. The car currently has 114k. Mostly driven from Manchester to Boston. The only negative is the dent on the front right bumper. The cause was my daughter bumping in to the fence in our driveway. This car has never been involved in any accidents. Everything works perfect. I priced getting a new bumper and having it painted and cost is $450. That is something I am willing to have done at Buyers expense. My wife and I have owned over ten BMW's including several M cars and SUV's. We are both BMW enthusiasts and take very good care of our vehicles. I also uploaded a few pictures from his ad... All opinions are very welcome. |

06 e90's are not problematic, and probably one of the least problematic e series'. i own a 2006 330xi for almost a year and have been in the shop maybe 3 times max, and that was only due to the fact that when a car has 60k miles there are some things that need to be replaced. n52 is more reliable than n54, ive seen n52 engines run up to 190000 no problem.

i'd say that's a good deal even with the small dent in the bumper... hell, my car is worth $14,000 and i don't have any special packages with my car and i don't even have real leather...
you could argue though that it costs an average of $600 for a collision shop to repaint a body panel on our cars... so that could knock off little chunk for you. |

I have an 06 325i also, I'd say thats a great price. Make sure theres no leaks anywhere. I've gotten oil pan gasket leak, tranny sleeve leak, and few others such as replaced a coil, all the plugs but I consider those maintenance. Overall this car is great!!!

why exactly do you want this car? is it because you just want a BMW and you found one for 10,000 or are you open to anything. because i mean, i just searched the east coast, and they have 330s with same options for 11K which is only a grand more, with same or less miles. for a better car. FYI

I had an '07 CPO e92 AW/CR, sold it this past summer (for more than I purchased it) because I need a sedan...
I don't think I will be happy with anything other than a 3 series.. Not really looking to spend over 11k (I have other priorities now), was originally looking for an e46, but then this deal came along... |

Check if the water pump has been changed already. If it has not, it'll fail soon and its rather expensive. Other than that it is a fair deal. Again, you could consider a 330 for just slightly more, its a lot more of an engine.

I would not get a just-out-of-production-BMW, parts are too expensive based on the budget of your car. Get an E46 330, or E39 530 if you need the space.
BTW, the dude took those pictures on 9/11. |

I honestly do not care for the power, and I will be sharing it with my wife.
Just-Out-Of Production BMW parts cost more? Most people say this engine is better than later years? Something about N52 being better than N54...? All input is appreciated prior to me finalizing a deal this Wednesday. |

Just out of production? That made me laugh...most modern BMW parts are expensive regardless unless you're going back to an E36. Back to the OP, I think that is a pretty good deal overall.. and yes 06 N52s are more reliable than the N54s but you will encounter some expensive preventive maintenance at the mileage. Electronic water pumps are known to fail, the starters are known to fail but he changed that so you're good there, etc.

10k? Man the other week my buddy just picked up a E46 M3 with 120k for 10k 6 speed manual too. Cannot believe how cheap these BMWs are these days. E36 M3s can go as low as 3000-5000 these days,

Here is another picture of that second vehicle... In terms of value, which do you think is the better car?
P.S. - This vehicle is Monaco Blue with Beige... Thoughts, opinions? |
