Rogue, Remus, or save up for BMW Performance?

I'm in the market for an exhaust system. I drive a 06 325i E90, and I don't want drone or a "ricey" sound. I've looked at multiple sound clips, and I just can't make up my mind. I'm looking at:

- Rogue IKON (Best Price)
- Remus
- BMW Performance (Worth the price?)

Please lend some suggestions.

This is true, and I do like that "gargle and pop" sound of the BMW Performance exhaust note. I just don't know if it's worth an extra $400 when the exhaust for the N52 really doesn't give substantial gains.

Anyone know if non-OEM performance exhaust hurts the resale value of the car?

Aftermarket certainly hurts resale. EIther way, I would part out the exhaust (OEM or not) before selling the car.

Yeah, good idea. I did that with my last car.

Right now, I have the AFE Stage 2 intake (growls in the upper-RPMs)... do you think the BMW PE would overpower it?

That sounds good! I'm glad the idle sound isn't too loud. My Magnaflow on my old Accord drove me nuts, cause it was so loud during idle. I really want something that sounds pretty stock at idle but then growls and pops on acceleration.

I'm looking for something that sounds like the Nissan Z stock exhaust... a tuned exhaust sound that sounds clean and powerful only during acceleration. Idk if that makes sense.

I just found another option Meisterschaft. It's around the same price as BMW PE though, so prob BMW PE would be better at that price range.

I have the Rogue Ikon and LOVE IT. For those worrying about resale just save the stock muffler. Swap it back and you'll still have the exhaust to sell. No big deal.

The Ikon sounds perfect for the 325i IMO. Agressive when I want to be and not at all obnoxious.

Thank you for the input. This is more than likely the option I'll be going with considering I don't want to spend a boatload of money on something that gives me 5hp gain max. But we will see.

If you're gonna do a PE just go custom and delete the damn muffler. You get the same sound, drop a lead weight from your ass, and you aren't shelling out more than $125 to get it done.

It's what I did and I absolutely love it. I still have yet to meet a single person that doesn't like the sound my car puts out. I go to a lot of shows and meets with all sorts of car owners. If I'd had a few complaints or people hating on it, I would have done something else. I've been sitting with the same exhaust setup for over a year and half and it never gets old or annoying.

I have the BMW Performance Exhaust and like it. Also that "gargle & popping" sound is scavenging. All these posts about gargling and popping makes me think we are talking about Listerine or something.

Having just installed the PE yesterday, go with the PE. It sounds amazing.

Thanks everyone for the valuable input. I think I've made my decision to save up some more cash and go with BMW PE. I'm going to check with my dealer and see if they'll give me free installation if I purchase one through them, but then again that's probably hoping for too much. haha
