Headlight Washer Sprays Bonnet

As per above, my headlight washer sprays screenwash all over my bonnet, looks like the aim is not aligned properly, anyone else have this problem?

Yes - but do not see as it as a problem.
It is the force of the water hitting the headlamps.

Yes, same here and I found them bloody hopeless at what they're supposed to do, i.e. wash the headlights. My CDO (like OCD, but with the letters in the correct order...) means my car rarely gets that dirty anyway.

I don't have xenons - hence no legal requirement for the washers to function - so plan to pull the fuse (fuse #48 I believe) to deactivate mine. Just worried it might affect other circuits hence why I've not pulled the fuse yet, need to fully check before I do.

Its a pain I find too, few weeks ago I forgot and left my headlights in auto mode and went through a tunnel and at that time I sprayed the jets the lights also came on which acticated head lamp washers (keep thinking why I didnt wait until I was out of the tunnel lol)

cut a long story short, water drops and screenwash dried over the bonnet leaving it rough to feel. I had to use a clay bar to remove the residue.

i always make sure my headlights are off before pulling the stalk for screenwash - only problem i have not gone around is in the dark lol I just bite my tongue and let my bonnet get covered in screenwash

I accept there will always be some overspray, but I was actually stationary at the time, and as mentioned above the large dried water drops definitely ruins a nice and clean car.

When I first saw it, I actually thought to myself 'who the hell has poured liquid all over the front of my bonnet', before realising it was the washer jets.

Guess I'll have to make sure my lights are off when washing the windscreen.

You guys are f##ked up!

What do you expect high pressure jets to do? No different to washing your screen goes all over the roof. And on the mway it covers 3 cars behind you.

A short pull on the washer stalk only washes the windscreen, a longer pull results in the headlamp washers going too.

Of course, if the car was waxed or sealed properly, the washer residue would just bead and run off

I try not to use the washers when I'm stationary as it makes the problem worse. At normal road speed, it runs off the bonnet within seconds.
