Cold Weather Power Increase?

We all know that the cold weather makes our cars feel like new. Cold air is obviously denser and gives a nice bump in hp but is there a limit to the temp advantage?

Let's take the traction loss out of the equation when the weather gets colder. So is there still a gain in hp going from 40 to 30 degrees and so on down. Is there an avg temp where the gains are not seen anymore?

Thanks

10-15 degrees is enough to feel some of an improvement. For example, i took my buddy for a ride in my car yesterday during the day when temps were around 78 degrees....car felt slow. I then waited until 10:30pm at night when the temps had dropped to around 60 degrees, and the car felt like it was back to running like a raped ape.

The colder the better. I used to think around 30 was as good as it gets. Then we had some single digit temps with no moisture. That was back when I had my supercharged M3 still. That car never felt so strong, even at sea level...
Yet another reason DCIs are garbage!

I brought up this topic back in January when it was in the single digits out. You can read what some people had to say:

You can get good power out of DCI's if your stock intake is too restrictive for the boost levels you are running, admittedly there are better intakes available for this car. A good intercooler will cool down the intakes temps, and as you know your turbo's are going to be heating up the air anyway. Ideally you would want to be breathing in cold air with an nonrestrictive intake.
