e92 inner light is there for looks and to illuminate the angel eyes only.
E90/1 have inner halogens even if you have xenons illuminate at full beam and are far superior to E92 main beam You could probably code the fogs to come on when full beam is activated to get extra light. |

It's just an ordinary halogen H8 bulb I had the JuicedUp LEDs in for a while and they matched the xenons well up to the point they failed.... fair play tho, got a full refund on them. Your query on the odd headlamps, could they be 'adaptive headlamps'? They use an H3 on the inner lamp rather than the H8 on my car. Does the H8 bulb go in the centre of the inner halos (where the main beam on bulb on a conventional halogen car is)? This somehow lights up both rings too? Correct me if im wrong, thanks Also what are the juiced up LEDs? |

Yes, the inner lamp has the H8 in the centre, the H8 lights up the rings on both lamps in the headlight module. Hence it looks a little brighter.
JuicedUp did a replacement H8 based on 6000k LEDs but they were a bit problematic. There is a new seller of these on the forum somewhere.. |

I have a E92 with adaptive headlights, the inner light on the head lights definately has a bulb in it, (I am not talking about the halo's here) but no matter what I do I cannot get this bulb to light up.
I have tried engine on/off, side and dips on/off, auto on/off, etc I cannot get these bulbs to come on. However the other day while driving I noticed that the O/S inner light was illuminated in the reflection of my lights on the car in front of me while waiting in traffic, after a few seconds the light went out (while still stationary) Does anybody know what these lights are for? Is there something wrong with my lights? Last edited by Mitch.; 01-30-2013 at 06:26 AM.. |

Adaptive headlights on my E92 as well, mine also has a beam that shines sideways from the headlight when cornering at low speeds. This lights up kerbs etc great!

I thought only the xenon part of the light moved when cornering, didn't realise the inner light was part of the adaptives, and would explain why I could not get them to light up when stationary. Thanks! |

Inner lights only at low speed - they will light up when stationary if you're indicating or on steering lock.

Thats the cornering light but the drivers side Xenon headlight moves out to the kerb too and then once you go over 30mph you can see the lens move back across from the kerb to shine towards the front of the car....
