There is currently a "stake out" by the VPD at the corner of Main St. and Terminal (across from the Main St. Skytrain Stn) and I just got pulled over today and got a ticket for having front tint ($109 ticket)

I drive by there everyday for work and this is the 1st time they pulled me over and they have been there all week.

Long story cut short, BEWARE if you have front tint, no front plate, hid fogs, etc in the next little while, especially around Terminal and Main, those bastards are there everday giving so many people tickets, it isn't even funny, there were 4 cars in the parking lot getting tickets at the same time...

i saw 3 cars pulled over one after another AFTER i passed the intersection.
All 3 cars were on a RIGHT LANE TURN only lane but went straight instead..LOL..

Thats shitty if they pulled you over for those reasons when i clearly saw 3 cars going straight on right turn lane

same here,i got pull over yesterday at no.6 and river rd. they asked me about is the window tinted by factory?.then i BS to them i don't know... i think so,and tell them just got tint at rear window.also,they used nail to try to scatch the film.luckly,she can't feel the film and let me go.this is the first time i got checked the front tint.(i done the tint two year ago)

drove by there this morning. so many cop cars, ambulance. this was around 11:30am. it looks like that stolen car was rammed into a pole by a police SUV.

VANCOUVER/CKNW(AM980) - A man in his mid twenties is in hospital, but his next stop will be jail, after he crashed a stolen car into a barrier on Quebec Street near Terminal.
This afternoon, a VPD traffic officer was about to make a routine stop on a vehicle when it sped away. It turns out that car was stolen.

The driver of the stolen car went over the sidewalk at the Main Street sky-train station, clipping a woman as he sped past.

Police called off the pursuit, but moments later, the driver of the stolen car lost control and slammed into a concrete barrier.

He bailed out of the car, but was caught after a very brief foot chase, his female passenger stayed in the car.

Inside the car, police found a sawed off shot gun, a starter's pistol, and a knife.

The driver of the car is wanted on several warrants, and will face new charges related to the brief pursuit.

i hope the fuking cop doesnt show up to the court, so i get off without paying shit, since they are handing so many tickets every single fuking day of this week and last week, it's impossible for him to attend all the court showings...

Just pay the fine.

You had to know tinting your front windows is against the law (as stupid as it is) in BC. By taking it to court to argue a little more than a tank of gas is rediculous. Do you all really have that much free time that you'd waste a couple hours at a courthouse hoping the cop doesn't show up so you can skate a $100-ish fine? Must be nice.

Do you also think the judge is going to be lenient and lessen the fine? You are not the first person to try this, nor will you be the last, but you might catch the judge on a bad day and they may be in a really crappy mood; guess what? They can up the fine by charging you with wasting the courts time if it's clearly obvious you're breaking the law. And really, you're all driving pretty nice cars, they know you're not strapped for cash.

-Oh, and for what it's worth, so you all don't think I'm some old crusty bugger, I run without a front plate- have since I installed my M-Technik kit. And if/when I get nabbed, I'll pay the fine and be on with my day
