Right cable, wrong vendor. It probably won't work.

The odds for you are more like 80/20 that it will not work from personal experience. Unfortunately most ebay vendors sell these unreliable cables. Look for cables with the green PCB, these always work from my experience.

Think i got the same cable. Wedge did my coding and it worked. My laptop kept freezing tho. Not sure of its because it was 2 degrees out or if my cable was doing it.

My car is 03/07 and has the oil cooler.... So yeah... that wasn't really a way to tell but I see you already got your info. Good luck ! I'm also shopping for a cable but want to be sure it works on both > 03/07 and < 03/07.

K+DCANs work on both. If you have trouble finding one that's legit let me know.

Well I know there's the one from one stop electronics, do you have one for sale ? Thanks !
The reason I'm asking about one that works for both is because most of the cheapo ones on ebay say up to or after

I always keep a few tested ones on hand because you're right... it's getting super difficult for guys to find working units nowadays.

Is that the 99$ cable or ebay cables and how much do you want for one ? I need one that works for both before and after 03/07 because I also want to code my dad's car... anyone knows if the same cable works on e60 ?

It's not the OSE cable and mine are tested ahead of time, but if you want to go the eBay route it looks like that guy has good feedback. That's dirt cheap too!

E60 falls into the same two protocols as the rest. It will work fine.
