Radio static with new LED angel eyes and AHL Xenon error

I just installed some new LED angel eyes over the weekend, and now I find that my FM radio has a ton of static whenever I have the headlights turned on in any of the modes (On, Parking, or Auto). Does anyone have a good solution that fixes this? I've seen posts saying aluminum foil might work, but before I take off the wheels and wheel well liners again, I thought I should see if there are any other suggestions out there so I can keep the awesome new LEDs and still listen to the radio!

At the same time that I installed the angel eyes, I swapped out the whole passenger side headlight assembly for a new one because the old one was damaged. I'm now getting the famous adaptive headlight error message on iDrive and on the instrument cluster. Even more annoying than that, the xenons don't adjust down and then back up upon startup, and my xenon high beams don't work at all (the flash-to-pass halogens still work). Will coding fix the issues with the xenons in addition to clearing the error? Someone stated that replacing the control unit attached to the headlight assembly fixed their issue. Is that a reliable solution that has worked for anyone else or is that a roll of the dice if I go through with that procedure?

Anyone in the Chicagoland area that has any experience with a dealer or indy shop fixing issues like this, I'd appreciate any referrals so I can get everything back in working order ASAP! Thanks!

Thanks for the input. Do the cores need to cover the entire wires or is it enough to just have one of them somewhere in the middle of the wires? Or do I need to put them surrounding where the wires attach to the LEDs?

Would this also work for HID bulbs that cause the same issue?

If you buy quality AE's and/or HID's to begin with this would not be a problem

So the $$ you saved has now become a PITA...

I have had both Lux & Dtec AE's, & HPB HID fogs, MTEC HID headlamps with absolutely no problems with errors or radio interference

The AE's are Lux V6, so there goes your theory about my need to buy quality. I will say that they look amazing and that the customer service from Lux has been great, and given the experience of so many others, this is likely just an anomaly and I wouldn't tell anyone not to try them.

The HIDs are a complete stock unit including bulbs that I bought for $400, so I'm not going to apologize for saving over $1,000 by going used and trying to handle the process myself (ideally with some helpful input from this forum) rather than just walking into the dealer and asking them to take care of it for me.

buy a pair and snap one to each wire closest to the ballast/bulb. eBay sells 3 pairs put 3 on each wire for superior rf supression. works with hid rf interference too. good luck
