Int'l License Plates

Guys, I'm wondering if having a German or European lic plate for my front bumper is legal? They look way nicer on the car compared to WA license plates. I see a number of Bimmers with such lic plates. What would a cop say when he/she sees it?

If you don't have any front plate or have a Euro one, don't park on the street because the meter maid can give you a ticket

I haven't had a problem with no plates on my front bumper...but I thought about putting those custom euro plates on if that decreases my chances of getting pulled over.

What? Seriously? That's ridiculous...what if someone stole my plates while I was gone?

I heard in Mexico, when they give you a parking ticket they TAKE your plates off, so you have to come in and pay them! Before you leave Mexico. This is only for us greengos! Not sure if this is true or not though. Heard it from an old co-worer of mine. lol

I'd say it would INCREASE your chances, as it is very noticeable. No plate at all and it is just a bumper, nothing really "sticking out". But put a very "strange" looking euro plate on the front and you might as well run a sign that says "PULL ME OVER!"

I know some guys will say they've run a euro plate for years with no problems, but I wouldn't do it. A legal front plate is required in this state, and that doesn't include a "euro style" plate with your WA numbers on it.

Here is my list in order of least to worst "attention getters" from the police:
1.) Run the issued front plate! It is the law after all....
2.) Run some sort of subdued non-WA plate on the front (like a logo from a business, college or a country flag, etc.) that is the same size as the WA plate.
3.) Run no plate at all. (Doesn't attract attention to the front of the car as much as a euro plate, but still conspicuous by being absent.)
4.) Run a euro plate that clearly looks very different from the WA plate and shouts "LOOK AT ME!!"

The choice is up to you, and last I heard it is a $125 ticket in WA.....

I'm running option 3 BTW...
