Is it possible to use this in a E90 LCI with Xenon?
I have coder here in Germany, who can make this changes for me.

I'm very excited about this, but I'm still afried of the heat and that the Xenon HID could melt my angel eyes?

What do you think?

Thanks a lot!

To my knowledge, no one has had any problems with heat. I've had mine for almost 3 months, if they were going to melt, it would have happened by now.

Wow bro. there is never any point to spending loads of money on 'special' HID kits when all errors can be coded out.

Well. I had the alpinems HID angels for a bit. Give half a year. When my headlights were opened today, there were parts burnt, melted and rings are discolored. From my experience it'll discolor and melt some parts of your headlight housing.

What brand bulbs we you guys using? The quality of the bulb can make a big difference in the heat output. 3Five bulbs are suppose to run very cool.

Yes, LUX are LED, not HID.

Gotcha, I've been keeping an eye on mine and so far they have been fine. If they start to melt, I will post back. I won't be ashamed.

I've read that LUX bulbs are the best to buy, is that true? And is there a DIY guide to install them in an e90 LCI?

What bulb would you recommend to give you the brightest lighting and not over heat?

You want ones that filter the UV light generated by the bulb. I bought my HID bulbs from highperformancebulbs.com, which in their description says it filters all UV light produced. UV causes the yellowing of the rings so make sure you get quality bulbs!

From the outside, you won't see anything except for the yellowing on the rings. It is the inside that gets most of the damage which can't be seen.

What is the difficultly level of coding? If I take my car into the dealer, can they see I edited the codes? Newbie here if you couldn't tell.

It's not hard if you have coded before. The only way they will be able to tell is if they notice the results of your coding. (digital speedo, super bright ae, etc)
