Man I hate driving my x5 on the BQE.. I'm pretty sure I'll do my best to avoid it with the 335.. This is actually a pretty good question.. I like driving out on 78 west to bridgewater commons in jersey. My uncle lives right around there in Chester with some serious cars. One of them is a viper that just came back from Hennessey in Texas.. 1000hp 1100hp with a shot of nos and is still street legal.. I can't wait to get the 335 out there and take some sweet pics with the rest of his toys. Anyways its about a 45 min drive from Jersey City, so it makes a nice sunday drive.

Take the Palisades Parkway from northern NJ into Rockland County, NY, then follow the signs for "Bear Mountain".

I completed my break in period during a drive through that area (and I've gone several times since then). Its very curvy with lots of changes in elevation.

Route 7 in Connecticutt above route 84 (Danbury). Follows the Housatonic river through the western end of the state. A good portion of the road wids through a state forest.

Or instead of the Palisades Parkway, for a longer ride, you can take 9w north which run directly parallel to PalParkway but its not a highway. Very nice scenic ride... I like taking my sportbike on it. Just watch for the PoPo

I took this drive yesterday:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...,0.994263&z=11

I started on the Palisades Parkway, took a detour into Harriman State Park, then went on to Bear Mountain. Then I kept going North on Rt 9 until I reached Newburgh, then turned around.

I think you are right about taking Rt 9 all the way up may be more scenic. I may try that next time.

It's RT 97 north of Port Jervis and follow the Delaware River.
