I kinda thought you were helped in your other thread...

Why not switch back to your original wheels? It doesn't seem worth it, in my mind, to potentially screw up your awd system. You're risking a very, very expensive repair just to use a set of staggered wheels that were given to you. My opinion, your risk aversion may vary.

Garage List
2006 BMW 330i   [0.00]
Have the 225/40/18 removed from the rear wheels (18 x 10) and have them mounted on the fronts (18 x 8.5). Buy new 255/35/18 and have them mounted on the rears.

This would be the stock sizes supplied by BMW, Results in 0.236% difference in diameters front to rear. (that is less than 1/4%)

18 x 8.5 is 1/2" wider than BMW stock front wheel, (18 x 8 is stock size) may provide a small amount of stretch.
18 x 10 is 1-1/2" wider than BMW stock rear wheel, (18 x 8.5 is stock size) will probably provide some stretch.

Try the following link for the "xi" forums, seems to be a lot of info also.

Move your 225 to your front wheels. This is too much of a stretch to be safe on your 10 inch wheels. Buy a proper fitment for your rears (255).

You can use the wheel calculator in the wheels section of this site. Hours of fun.

P.s your fronts will fit 225/40 so you will be 0%. 225 is very narrow for 18x10 btw, they must be seriously stretched.
