Loss of air pressure with an RFT on a non-EH2 rim

Has anyone here loss air pressure on a run flat tire on a wheel that is not EH2. EH2 wheels have an extra hump that according to my dealer is required to make sure the tire bead does not fold under and pancake like a non-runflat.

Looking on various manufactures sites, Bridgestone UK and Pirelli recommend the use of EH2 rims with their RFT tires whereas the others that I checked do not.

BMW appears to heavily market this in their wheel and tire packages as being a safety requirement since their wheels have the extra ridge.

Has anyone here lost all pressure on a RFT mounted to an aftermarket wheel and had the tire pancake?

It didn't happen to me. I'm just checking to see what other people's experience has been with tire pressure loss on non-EH2 wheels.

I am experiencing strange pressure loss in my run flats but on stock sport wheels. My build date is 11/06 if that helps. I am having to put in pressure to one or more of the tires on almost a weekly basis. I am about to complain to the dealership and see what happens.

Drewko - you most likely have a small leak. I'm more interested in getting feedback from those with runflats that have had a complete loss of pressure on non-EH2 rims to see if they were able to drive the car at the rated limits on the RFT technology.
