I have continental extreme contact DW, they're an excellent tire. Great wet and dry grip. Good price too. Better than the v12's IMO
But i wouldn't use them in weather bellow 50F, as with any summer tire.

I had a 2011 loaner without sport package and it was MUCH smoother than my 2008 with sport package. I think most people will be totally comfortable with that ride comfort.

You're fine with max performance summer tires in the Bay. No good in the mountains in the winter!

Does anyone have like a list of some good tires. i was thinking about the hankook but i really just want something nicer than runflats that is under $600 if possible. ive found the hankook v12s for 688 on tirerack and they are cheaper then the continental extreme contact DW so thats what im leaning towards. of course im going to ask the tire shop that im having install my parts if they have any good ideas too but id like to know some names of some good tires so i don't get hustled haha
