Downpipe Install and Alignment

Planning through mods I want to do in the near future. Both downpipes and coilovers are planned. I know downpipes are pretty involved, having to lower the subframe, disconnect a motor mount and the steering rack.

My question is, has anyone had alignment issues after doing the downpipe install? Seems like it shouldn't be an issue if done right, but I would like to confirm, as I only want to have to do one alignment.

If you are doing downpipes and coilovers, I would want to do an alignment until after the suspension settles. I found in my research that doing an alignment after the downpipes install was a toss up, some saidto do it, others said it was pointless; I personally did not and my alignment is not off. I would wait until after you install your suspension and it has a chance to settle, it is necessary to do it then

Thanks for the response, I am anticipating doing coilovers first then DPs later. Wanted to get some opinions on it. Sounds like I shouldn't need to do an alignment after DPs as long as everything is done right.

Exactly. You have to wait a little while to do an alignment for the suspension to settle anyway, do the dps before your alignment for a better peace of mind if you would like

So you know I did not have to disconnect my steering rack to do my downpipe install. Just dropped the subframe.
