Sup guys - I'm visit for the long weekend from Boston. What's something to do when I'm in Dallas? It could be food, landmarks, etc....I already plan to go see the home of the Cowboys but then I still have time to kill.

What kind of food do you like? We have pretty good food here. And what part of town will you be in?

Haha, love to find me hotties. I'm staying in the West Lake area. I got a rental car and just tour the cowboy stadium.
What's a must try food in Dallas? I like BBQ, Steak, Chinese, Viet, etc.

You're from Boston and staying in Westlake? Is this a business trip by any chance? Just curious because we have a lot of associates who make that trip.

That's a good lens @ a good price -- someone w/ a Canon DSLR should jump on this. I used to have one of these and it's one of Tamron's better lenses.

Just got the ride back after dropping it off to have the wastegates looked at.

It's been about 3 weeks of waiting/down time, but I got 2 new snails and wastegates for free than thanks to the wastegate recall! The car is back in beast mode and feels better than ever!

Where'd you go and who'd you talk to? My sedan has some gnarly waste gate rattle and I could use some new snails!

Classic did the work. Mine we're pretty bad. They will only replace them if they are way out of tolerance.

I haven't checked them specifically, but the rattle is terrible (cold, hot, decel, idle, whenever). My car sounds like a party noisemaker and I've noticed an increase in lag over my coupe that I had. Hopefully that all points to the actual wastegates being out of spec.

the SIB states "If the noise is described as a clanking noise occurring up to six or seven times in a row during a
deceleration from approximately 3,500 RPM, or during a heavy application of the accelerator without a drive gear being engaged" and that's definitely me. It's kinda embarrassing driving around town.

Am I correct in assuming there's no actual campaign with a vin range or anything? It's just up to the service dept and/or managers (per the SIB)?

Sounds like it might have the issue. Take her in. The recall is for 07-09 n54 engines up to 82k or 8 years, you're covered.

Be prepared to leave it for a few weeks though if they approve the repair, parts are on back order.

I would love to get my turbos replaced, i just don't want to remove my dps. Plus, my turbos might not make enough to get them replaced, so it might end up being wasted time/money to get the dps taken off.
