335d Emaps remap

Drove down to see Simon this morning to get my car remapped - it's now an absolute beast!

It seems to pull a lot stronger at all speeds, just takes a feather touch on the throttle to overtake - feels a lot more powerful than the DMS map I had on my old 535d but that's probably because the 5 was a much bigger car.

Took about an hour in all to apply the map and check that everything was as it's supposed to be.

Simon's a top guy and knows a lot about what he does!

Had a lot of fun on the way back to Manchester - filled up once I got home and my indicated range is reading 524miles, not bad for a 350BHP car if you ask me!

They're the figures Simon quotes, not had them verified on a RR but it feels believable!

Yeah, 350bhp and 700Nm or torque is what Simon quotes.

HI
Had my 335i done by sinon last week and what a difference. It feels alot faster and the turbos seem to spool up alot earlier/quicker.

Had my 335d mapped with a claimed 350bhp map but on the rolling road it 'only' achieved 333bhp. That's not to say it's not bloody quick though.

Mambo, does yours have a linear power delivery throughout the rev range, just that mine has a noticeable surge once it hits about 3000 revs.

It's linear - kicks in way before 3000 rpm.

Have you checked you vac hoses and actuators? Mine went on the 535d and the symptoms sound similar to yours - low power until the revs rise and then it rips your head off!

A friend had his car checked by Simon on another remap. He said it was a strong map and probably more aggressive too. Well it felt strong lol
