CIC Emulator Wiring

I think I have a faulty emulator but wanted to confirm the wiring with someone before I send it back.

I've wired the 12v and the ground to their respective wires on the car, they are merged with the 12v and ground not cut, so they 'tap in' to the wires.

I then cut wire leading to pin 9 and wire leading to pin 11. Each wire from the emulator is then attached to the relevant side of the cut wires, sending the signal through the emulator and through to the CIC. Is this wiring correct? Thanks.

That's correct. It's how I wired mine in.

What problems are you having?

I figured it was simple but I started over-thinking it. Good to know I'm wired in okay. Do the 12v and ground have to be pinned into the CIC or can I just merge with the 12v and ground wires anywhere from car the CIC connection?

The problem I have is that my car reports CAN signal errors on a diagnostic when the emulator is wired in, service lights all over the dash too. I'm stumped.

I used pins 12 and 15 for the 12v feed, just spliced into them.

You don?t really need an emulator any more. Google CIC Patcher.
