I have premium and sport packages on my 330xi, which include most options.

I don't have comfort access and park distance control.

I regret not getting the PDC. I do not regret the lack of CA.

I back into a parking space at work every day, and really miss the PDC.

I really appreciate the sport steering wheel, sport seats, split fold down rear seats, iDrive with navi, and Sirius.

Go drive cars at the dealership with and without the premium package - compare interior components/finish.

One more thing - if I bought a new e90 today, it would have all-season 18's. 18 inch all-seasons were not an option then (but I'm not sure they are an option now, either).

Your #1 is the very essence of the vehicle itself! You can take comfort in knowing you've got more power than is needed in many situations (although more is better), and i.e. paid far less for the vehicle (money in the bank).
.
Having been an SUV guy for the last 6 years, I'd forgotten my love of small cars with a manual. I got the 328xi automatic simply because I have a baby and was concerned there would be too many things happening in the car at the same time with a stick. I also thought I'd never use the power of the 335.

However since I got the car I've learned that driving this car is not about transportation like it's been in the suvs. Driving this car is an activity in its own right. Therefore like any hobby it should be done well and with great equipment. The engine/tranny compromise takes away from the full experience I could be having, and therefore is not worth it. If you're paying the premium for a bmw, you might as well go all the way...:-)

Of course, the M3 sedan is not AWD, so I can't REALLY go all the way....but I should have gone FURTHER.

6fl and Xenons, my other options...Well, let's just say that driving is like sex -- If you want to do it right, it takes great music and lighting to set the mood.

The twin turbo engine

the twin turbo engine

the twin turbo engine

(i still kick myself til this day. If i had waited for 2 months......)

But seriously, the only option on the 330 i should have gotten was the rear sunshades and maybe comfort access.

I bought used, so it's not really regret at not ordering. However, I wish I had:

1. Xenon headlights
2. Heated seats
3. Bluetooth

Haha. I got everything, so I miss nothing! Don't be a cheapskate. I don't think I'll ever even use those sunscreens...........but if I want to I can. The only problem is when you want a car with everything, count on ordering it; especially if you want a 6spd.

Aluminum trim, but I'm having that installed next week thankfully. The wood trim annoys me more each day.

Other than that, I got all I wanted - silver 330i 6MT, black leather, premium, sport, iPod adapter, cell phone dock.
