Im bored with my 335d..

I really am,

Its not all that on juice, its mega quick. Ive proved that just it is quiet and does not feel fast, im used to it.

I think the only cure would be something exotic, like a Lambo Murci, or a Fezza F430, or even a Koenigsegg.

IO want that Ultimate performance, that loud noise, that Im richer than you CANT image.

You know what im getting at. The 335d just does not cut it for a mid twenties type anymore.

Coupe shape been out a few years now and is starting to look old school.

IM TALKING SHIT obviously

I still love the 335d, its an awesome motor, i cant fault it and wouldnt want anyting else.

quick, fast, looks good and is a decent car... bE HAPPY WITH WHAT YOU GOT.

I know what you mean !

For a while now I wanted to make the best BMW diesel better (lights blue touch paper & runs for cover !) - but the things conspired against me like loosing my job & muppets in traffic jams driving into me from behind whilst dropping cigs on there "goolies" etc.

How's this for a new rear on a 335D ?

Trouble is it's £1500 in total + boot spoiler from the importers as you need to change the entire rear exhaust system not just the tips -

Anyone got any better suggestions otherwise I need to sell the 335D & by a Aston roll on pay day !

I'm currently driving an automatic Mitsubishi Charisma (not), R reg with 70k on the clock and no air conditioning.

Makes me realise how much I'm missing mine (and how lucky I am to have it).

I've just spent nearly 10 years with a Hyundai Coupe F2 Evo, which now seems gutless ... well it was all along in reality.

I had an old school E30 323i, before that, back in 92, when I was posted in Germany, one of these:

I modded it heavily, and loved it, especially on the AutoBahns daily, and here I am over 17 years later coming back to BMW.

Why did I leave BMW - I will never know, especially when it was all tax free sales while I was in Germany ?

You have a nice subtle M3 lip spoiler at your disposal Mike, way better than the one you've posted

I have some suggestions for the exhaust, just carrying out some research at the moment.

Thanks Ian

I guess the real issue is in my opinion the back of the std 335D is just well er "bland", it really needs the rear bumper & diffuser sorting to a more agressive style to go better with the front end & ideally with the exhaust pipe tips changing only to the quad version which should be possible - but can I find a solution ?

The Hartge kit looks very good without going over the top, saw it all on the Bird's 335i and looks quality.

The other extreme is the Rieger.

I love my 335i but now i want 335d mpg and torque!

I wanted a 335 for over a year before i bought it and
now after only a few months im thinking of other cars
already....thats the problem when you love cars, theres
always something newer, faster, better sounding etc
out there.
Its like these rock stars who cheat on their supermodel
girlfriends-thats what men are like, we want something badly and
when we get it we slowly start to get bored until we convince ourselves we want something else!

100% agree. Dont forget women fall in love with men, spend all their time trying to change you then dump you because you are nothing like what they originally wanted.

Is no one ever happy with what they have??

If Carl ever sells the DXB civilisation as we know it will come to an end.

The earths magnetic field will stop spinning and the entire planet will fall out of orbit and collide with the sun.

If the DXB is sold, there will be no sun. Your theory is flawed.

Carl are you not into exterior styling at all? Or are you happy just to keep it stock.

There will still be a sun, but if the DXB is sold it will almost certainly go supernova and we will be faced with an annoyingly close astronomical singularity.

Yes mate i am, only subtle stuff tho. I like my stock 19" so wouldnt change them. Thought about (and probably still will) change the grill. Want aero front lip if it was a case of spraying and fitting, it isnt tho as the whole front end needs spraying so a new front aero will stand out a mile. I iant spraying the front end as the car gets used.. it aint no show car.

I like the stock look of my car, it has the shadowline and the best rims ( in my onion) and looks good with the sport suspension drop and twin pipes.

Maybe if it didnt look as good as it does stock i may have gone further down the exterior styling line.
