It's also worth clicking on his build link if you haven't already done it. He has more pics of what the rest of the car looked like.

Anyone have the link to the for sale thread or know how much he's selling it for? Curious what sort of profit he'll actually get.

About 5-10 years ago E30 M3 owners always joked that any car would run 15K, no matter what your original purchase price , because a poor condition car would end up costing a lot in maintenance and repairs to keep it up whereas a good condition car would already be selling for 15K.

It became a mantra in the E30 M3 sig and S14.net communities. A new member would join after finding a car for 5-6k and all the owners would say yep... It will run you 15l by the time you get it in good condition.

Now, fortunately for all E30 M3 owners the average car is worth about 25k or more.

I am so mad I didnt buy one of those $5k ones back in the day, now the regular e30's are getting that in not great condition, I saw a 318i coupe sell for $24k the other day, low mileage but wow!

Most nice condition E30 M3's now are upwards of $30k, seen them go for $40-$50k.

If I find a roller like this I will swap everything I am putting into my restoration out now and put it in that!

I thought it was such a great story up until the point where he's put it up for sale. Now, not for a second am I saying that was wrong. As an owner of course he had every right to do so, sell for profit or maybe funds for another project, but in my opinion, it would've been so much cooler to rebuild for his own enjoyment and keep long term.

Great job restoring it though

Adam, thanks for commenting. Congrats on you and your brother restoring the car. Can you give us more details on the project? How long? How much?
